Is Cheki.co.ke a car dealer?
No. Cheki.co.ke is not a dealership. We do not own, buy, or sell vehicles. We only provide the platform for buyers and sellers to connect.
How do I list my car for sale?
Click on the “Sell A Car” button, register an account (if you haven’t), and fill out the car listing form. Upload clear photos, enter accurate details, and submit.
Is it free to post a car listing?
We offer both free and premium listing options. Premium plans may include features like visibility boosts or highlighting.
Can I list multiple vehicles?
Yes. Individuals can post a limited number of free ads. Dealers or businesses can subscribe to packages that allow multiple listings.
Can I edit or delete my listing?
Yes. Log in to your account, go to My Listings, and you can edit or remove any of your ads.
How do I contact a seller?
Each vehicle listing includes a contact form and/or phone number. You can also send a direct message from your user dashboard.
Are the vehicles inspected by Cheki?
No. We do not inspect vehicles directly unless it’s a paid inspection service. We strongly recommend physical inspection before making any payment.
Can I negotiate prices with sellers?
Yes. All pricing is set by individual sellers or dealers. You may negotiate directly with them.
How do I pay for premium listings?
We accept payments via M-Pesa, Pesapal, and PayPal — securely integrated within the site.
Do I pay Cheki.co.ke for buying a car?
No. Cheki does not charge any fee for browsing or contacting sellers. Any price you pay is negotiated directly with the vehicle seller.
Can I get a refund for a listing?
All premium listing purchases are non-refundable, except in the case of duplicate payments or technical errors. Contact support for assistance.
Do I need an account to use Cheki.co.ke?
You can browse listings without an account, but you’ll need one to post a car, contact sellers, or save favorite listings.
How do I register?
Click on Register, fill in your name, email, and password, or use Google/social login (if enabled). A confirmation email will be sent.
I forgot my password — what should I do?
Click “Forgot Password?” on the login page. You’ll receive a link via email to reset your password.
How do I stay safe when using the platform?
Always meet sellers in public places
Verify ownership documents (logbook, ID, NTSA records)
Do not send money before seeing the vehicle
Use caution with deals that sound too good to be true
What if I suspect fraud or a scam?
Report suspicious listings or users immediately via the “Report Listing” button or email us at [email protected].
I’m having trouble uploading photos or submitting a form. What can I do?
Ensure your image size is under the limit and in JPG or PNG format. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser. If the issue persists, contact our support.
The site looks broken or doesn’t load properly.
Try refreshing the page, using a modern browser like Chrome, or switching devices. If the problem continues, report it to us with a screenshot.
